  13. These are great tips, I would only add that it is wise to specialize in some area of real estate. This will cut down on advertising expenses and help establish you as an expert. It’s one of the hardest decisions to make for most realtors but for the ones who do it, it makes all the difference.

  14. Get help on the things you don’t know. There are experts in other areas–accounting, mortgage lending, and titles, to name a few–who can help you out. Find them and build solid, mutually-beneficial relationships.

  16. How about this for #8: Find a niche and be the best you can be in that area. You do your clients a disservice if you are one of those “jack of all trades master of none” types.
